My name is Evan LaPorte and I am a painter living in New Bedford, Ma. I am a subjective painter concerned with formal issues, however I am not concerned with accurate representation. I am focused on honest translation and the creation of images informed by my hand, my history and my observations. Ahhhhhhh!

After both of my shows coming to a close and 8 days in Mexico, summer is in full sweaty swing. I'm now getting ready for an auction to benefit the New Bedford ART Museum. The peice I'm working on is 10 x 10", oil on panel. The
collection being auctioned is drawn from the current show of Audubon
prints on display at the museum. Check it out! " Take Flight "
