My name is Evan LaPorte and I am a painter living in New Bedford, Ma. I am a subjective painter concerned with formal issues, however I am not concerned with accurate representation. I am focused on honest translation and the creation of images informed by my hand, my history and my observations. Yellow Billed Magpie
It poured at the auction Friday night, but that didn't keep a good crowd from showing up to support New Bedford Art. Huddled shoulder to shoulder over a hundred people mingled, munched drank and donated as the chop rolled in from Buzzards Bay!
OOODLES? I'm not so sure about that, but I have been very lucky with the response to my recent work. This year many of my paintings and drawings have found new homes!
