My name is Evan LaPorte and I am a painter living in New Bedford, Ma. I am a subjective painter concerned with formal issues, however I am not concerned with accurate representation. I am focused on honest translation and the creation of images informed by my hand, my history and my observations. Last Stop......

You may be familiar with these three paintings, they were originally part of a series of 4 oil paintings that really fueled my solo show last year. I spent lots of time studying the frozen marshes in Westport. After the show at TUFTs comes down these will officially be the last oil paintings sold from my solo show! THANK YOU everyone for your support and feedback. I have been blown away by how my work has been received.
